Markets and clients

Markets and clients

Among our Clients, there are companies operating in different markets, from industry and trade to financial services. So far we have not come across any business operator in the market that would not possess personal data of, for instance, its employees, or other confidential information that is required to be protected.

Each industry branch is characterised by certain features, operates only in a specific legal environment or approaches the issues of information security in different ways. Our experience and specialised expertise, as well as result-oriented approach to our Clients allows us to meet all their expectations.

Medicine and pharmacy

The company’s success in the medicine and pharmacy market is dependent upon the confidence of its clients. Companies operating in this field within the scope of their current business activities process vast amounts of information, including sensitive data, (for instance, in the context of adverse events, the provision of medical information, as well as sales and marketing operations). For this reason, one of the most vital goals that the medicine and pharmacy industry should focus on is the security of information, including personal data. JPL Group successfully implements audit and consulting projects, as well as assumes the duties of the Information Security Administrator.

Advertising and marketing agencies, media houses

A large part of marketing activities are based on the use of personal data (for instance, in connection with the organisation of contests, lotteries, loyalty programmes and mobile application development). At the same time we understand the impact that the additional clauses of consent or the terms and conditions printed on leaflets have on the marketing visualisation.

JPL Group has experience in coordinating such projects and knows how to successfully reconcile the visual aspects with the issues of legal security. When preparing the legal framework for the marketing projects, we think long-term and ensure that the data collected by the Client was used as intended, for current and future operations, and in a way that does not dissatisfy the data subjects.

E-commerce

The popularity and accessibility of the Internet have contributed to the development of electronic distribution channels. Through e-commerce, it is easier to establish a business activity and reach clients. However, a remote sale is limited by a greater number of legal restrictions than a traditional sale. JPL Group assists its Clients in the preparation of the legal concept and framework of an e-commerce business – both in regard to external aspects, i.e. the necessary terms and conditions, clauses, as well as internal aspects – the necessary documentation, i.e. the Security Policy and the Information System Management manual or the procedure of entering the data collections into the General Inspector for Personal Data Protection register.

Financial institutions

JPL Group has a vast experience in the field of information security auditing and advisory services for banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses and investment fund companies. It is one of the few companies that have experience in assuming the duties of an Information Security Administrator in brokerage houses and investment fund companies. We provide services within this scope in cooperation with a company that is an expert in the market – Just Comply.

Manufacturing companies

Our Clients in the manufacturing sector know that their activity also affects the sphere of information security. JPL Group has extensive experience in conducting audits in manufacturing companies, where the processing of personnel data is of particular importance (including the audit of work time, identity verification system used at the entrance to the manufacturing premises, video monitoring, employee sobriety test or the whistleblowing scheme).

Public institutions

Public institutions, just like in the case of businesses, are required to ensure high standards of information security, including personal data. In certain cases, these requirements that are expressed in specific provisions of the law are more detailed, while the data subjects have higher expectations with regard to the standards used in public trust authorities. JPL Group has vast experience in audit activity, as well as in terms of assuming the duties of an Information Security Administrator in public institutions.

Services

Service providers who use our services know very well how important it is to build trust among clients. JPL Group advices service providers in terms of the preparation of the framework for processing personal data (for instance, of potential clients, clients and suppliers) and verifies the organisation status in this regard. Among our Clients, there are also service providers, who invite us to cooperate in the provision of their services, for instance IT companies that develop advanced information or mobile systems, law firms specialising in company fusions or acquisitions that want to consult changes in terms of the flow of personal data.

Developers

Our Clients who are developers know that their activity also affects the sphere of information security. JPL Group has extensive experience in conducting audits in development companies, where the processing of personnel data is of particular importance (including the audit of work time, identity verification system used at the entrance to the construction sites, video monitoring, employee sobriety test or the whistleblowing scheme), as well as the compliance of marketing activities with the applicable provisions of the law.
